Tarea: 10-28-08 due 10-30-08

Please complete and turn in both packets next class. The first packet was given by the substitute when I was absent the Thursday before fall break. The second packet was given today 10-28-08 The second packet will be graded on accuracy, not just completion. Please make sure that you complete it to the best of your ability!!! It will be graded!!!

Next class 10-30-08 you will have your chapter 1A test that we were supposed to take last week. We didn't take the test last week, because my wife had the baby the Friday before spring break and I was not here Wednesday, Thursday, Friday! The test will be given this Thursday the 30th. It will cover all of chapter 1A.

If you would like extra credit Please do the following!!! 1) Make sure that your speakers are on, or plug in your headphones to the computer. 2) listen to the music that is playing!!
3) Scroll to the bottom of the blog and tell me the name of one of the songs and who sings the song. Write the name of the song and the artist on a piece of paper and bring it to me next class!!!

Today in class we had a discussion on the movie the Buena vista social club. We talked about your observations on the movie. We also compared and contrasted the Mexican culture and the Cuban Culture. We also worked on a review packet that will help us prepare for the chapter 1A test that will be given next class 10-30-08. The test will be worth 200 points. Please read and complete the following to help you prepare for the test.
