Spanish 1 10-8-08 White day periods 5,7,8

Tarea: for 10-8-08 due 10-13-08

For homework you need to turn in the final, final draft of your 10 sentence paragraph next class which will be Monday 10-13-08. Please make sure that you re write or type your paragraph and turn it in next class. If you choose to type your paragraph you need to make sure you go back with a pen or pencil and write in the accents by hand. If you choose to hand write your final paragraph please make sure it is in your best hand writing.

The speaking assessment that we have talked about in class must be passed off by Señor Turnbaugh by 10-15-08 please make sure you plan accordingly. If you have questions about the speaking assessment please see Señor Turnbaugh ASAP!!!! You will not be able to use notes of any kind as you pass off the speaking assessment. What kind of questions can you expect? Here are a few examples I would become familiar with. Please ask your self a couple of questions. Do you know what the question is asking, and can you answer the question in a complete sentence in Spanish? If you can you are well on your way to an A. Remember complete sentences are required for a passing score.

¿Qué te gusta hacer?
¿Qué te gusta más?
¿Qué no te gusta hacer?
¿Qué te gusta hacer en el verano?
¿Qué te gusta hacer en el invierno?
¿Qué te gusta hacer con amigos?
¿Qué te gusta hacer cuando llueve?
¿Te gusta practicar deportes?
¿Te gusta bailar y escuchar música?
¿Te gusta escribir cuentos?
¿Qué no te gusta nada?

Today in class 10-8-08
Today in class we studied how to talk about what other people like to do using the structures A él le gusta, A ella le gusta, and A Ud. le gusta. We also reviewed how to say what we like to do and not like to do using A mí me gusta, and A mí no me gusta.

I also gave students calss time to revise and correct their paragraphs with a partner. The final, final draft is due next class 10-13-08

I also gave students the opprotunity to pass off the speaking assessment with me in class. I will give students more class time to complete the speaking assessment next class. If you do not pass off the speaking assessment with me in class it is your responsibility to pass it off on your own time. That would mean before school, after school, or during advisement. The speaking assesment must be completed by 10-16-08
